Jennifer Hawks

Jennifer Hawks began her professional writing career at the age of 14 when a short story she wrote was published in Scholastic Scope magazine. Since that time, she has written hundreds of articles for magazines, newspapers, and websites on a diverse range of topics that include commercial and sport fishing, country living, the trucking industry, medical care, travel, outdoor survival, Alaska, and the Yukon.

While living in the Yukon Territory of Canada, Jennifer earned her private pilot’s license in 2004. Jennifer is also an award-winning filmmaker. In 2016 she released the documentary film Everything It Takes and won Best Film at the Equinox Women’s Film Festival. She is also a photographer and enjoys capturing images of wildlife and scenery.
